The open register. Version 1.0. 28 September 2026.
Every dealer on the open register has been verified by Worldwatch through one or more of three checks:
- Business verification: we confirm the business is registered and active.
- Identity verification: we confirm the identity of the person representing the business.
- Verification call: we confirm the dealer on a call with our team, by phone or video.
Each dealer's profile shows which checks they have completed. Worldwatch is the only party that verifies dealers on the register.
Signing this code is required to be listed on the open register and to buy and sell on the Worldwatch Marketplace. Tick each commitment below.
1.I describe watches honestly.
My listings state the condition of each watch accurately, including any part that has been replaced, refinished or redialled, and any service history I know of. Photos show the watch being sold.
2.I sell what I have, pay for what I buy, and deliver what I sell.
I only list watches that are in my possession or under my direct control. When I buy, I pay on the agreed terms. When I sell, I deliver on the agreed terms, or refund the buyer in full without delay.
3.I trade only authentic, lawfully owned watches.
I never knowingly list, buy or sell a counterfeit or stolen watch, or trade with a person or company under economic or trade sanctions. When I find a stolen or counterfeit watch on Worldwatch, I report it to Worldwatch. When Worldwatch asks for proof of authenticity or ownership, I provide it.
4.I correct mistakes openly and never erase history.
When I find an error in a listing or a transaction, I correct it and tell the other party. I never delete or alter listings, messages or records to hide what happened.
5.I trade in good faith.
I treat other dealers fairly and professionally. I do not manipulate prices, send unsolicited advertising, or harass or abuse anyone on Worldwatch. When a dispute arises, I respond to the other party and work to resolve it.
6.I keep my business details accurate and up to date.
My business identity, contact details and verification information are correct and complete. I update them promptly when they change, and I complete any further verification Worldwatch requests.
How this code is enforced
This code forms part of the Worldwatch User Terms. Breaking a commitment can lead to Worldwatch restricting, suspending or ending a dealer's listing on the open register and their access to the Marketplace. Reports, complaints, statements of reasons, notice periods, appeals and mediation follow our procedures in the Legal section at worldwatch.market/legal.
Changes to this code
We announce changes to this code at least 15 days before they take effect. Dealers confirm each changed commitment again before the new version applies to them.
What the register means
The register confirms two things: Worldwatch completed the checks shown on the dealer's profile, and the dealer signed this code. It is not a guarantee of any individual transaction on the Marketplace.
