What goes in the file
Each watch carries its own file, next to its reference, photographs and cost.
- Papers and box
- Record which papers and which box came with the watch, so a buyer’s first question has an answer.
- Purchase invoice and supplier
- The invoice you were given and who you bought from stay on the watch, next to what you paid.
- Condition
- Condition, and any part that was replaced, refinished or redialled.
- Service history
- Each service with its date and who carried it out.
- Previous owners
- The owners before you, as far as you know them.
How a file builds up
Add the watch
Enter the reference, then the papers and the invoice that came with it.
Add to it as the watch moves
Record a service or a new document on the day it happens.
Keep it private
The file belongs to your account. What reaches a listing is what you write there.
